It may be more than just "butthurt" though when you consider
that JMU's decision could have a domino effect on the conference. For example, it was reported a few years ago that Bill & Mary would likely leave the CAA for the Patriot League if JMU ever left the CAA. According to the article, it sounded like B&M didn't want to be the only VA school in the CAA. If B&M did leave the CAA, then that could trigger Elon, UNC-Wilmington, and Coll. of Charleston to leave too because the CAA would have no VA members and the closest CAA member would be Towson or maybe Delaware. If those 3 also leave, then what reason would Delaware, Towson, Drexel, Hofstra, and Northeastern have to remain in the CAA when it would appear the conference is on life support?
